Initial plan called for a tent
STFNA works to reduce impact on neighborhood
On April 2nd, the Santa Clara County Planning Commission approved the proposed events facility at the Boulder Ridge Golf Course, which is located at the westerly end of the Santa Teresa Foothills. The STFNA Board of Directors supported this decision because, at the request of the Association and other groups in the Almaden Valley, the applicant undertook a major redesign of the project.
The original proposal was an events tent, which the Association opposed because of the noise impacts from amplified music on adjacent neighborhoods. The new design replaces the tent with an enclosed building with fixed/unopenable windows that will contain the noise.
This is a significant win-win wherein our concerns have been addressed and the needs of the applicant have also been met.
Thank you for your letters to the County in support of the Association’s position, which ultimately led to the new and improved design!
